Maison Jacques Moinel’s 2023 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru “Les Pucelles” is a dry, finely balanced Chardonnay from one of the appellation’s most prestigious Premier Cru vineyards. Renowned for its position beside Bâtard-Montrachet, Les Pucelles is prized for wines that unite Puligny’s hallmark precision and chalky minerality with depth and length.

Tasting Notes
Pale in appearance, it opens with aromas of citrus, ripe yellow fruit and white flowers, edged with delicate mineral notes. The palate is elegant yet concentrated, with fresh acidity and a creamy texture leading to a long, mineral finish with a lightly saline touch. Its balance of concentration and freshness should allow it to develop with careful cellaring, though it can also be enjoyed while its fruit is vibrant.

Production
Les Pucelles lies in southern Puligny-Montrachet, immediately adjoining the Grand Cru vineyard Bâtard-Montrachet. Its celebrated terroir is associated with chalky minerality and a distinctive combination of finesse, depth and length. The wine is made from 100% Chardonnay; specific harvesting and vinification details have not been provided.
