Tasting Notes
Deep red in colour with purple highlights, it opens with intense aromas of wild berries, followed by warm spices, cocoa and sweet tobacco. The palate is dry and supple, with well-integrated tannins and a long, velvety finish. Its careful élevage gives the wine a firm structure and good potential to develop in bottle, with the fruit and savoury, tertiary notes likely to evolve over the coming years.

Production
The blend draws on Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grown at the Il Borro estate in Tuscany, where the soils are described as having a distinctive geological character. The available production details specify 18 months of ageing: Merlot is matured partly in large casks and partly in barriques, while Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are aged in barriques, half of them new.
