Description

Hubert Lignier’s Clos de la Roche MCMLV is a distinctive Grand Cru Pinot Noir made from vines planted in Les Monts Luisants in 1955. Presented in a 1.5-litre magnum, it brings together rose-like character, mineral notes and fine tannins in a wine intended for the cellar.

Tasting Notes
The producer’s notes highlight rose and mineral aromas. On the palate, the texture is soft, with fine tannins and a persistent grip that gives the wine structure and length. A detailed description of its appearance is not available.

Production
This cuvée comes from a planting in Les Monts Luisants dating to 1955, within the Clos de la Roche Grand Cru. Details of the harvest and vinification have not been provided.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 16–18°C with roast duck, lamb, or mushroom dishes that complement Pinot Noir’s floral and mineral character. If opening young, a gentle decant may help the wine open up; the magnum format is also well suited to extended cellaring, though no specific drinking window is available.
