Description

Grosjean Petite Arvine Vigne Rovettaz is a characterful organic white wine from the Aosta Valley, showing the alpine purity and precision that have made Petite Arvine such a prized local grape. Produced by the Grosjean family with deep respect for tradition and the environment, it offers a layered, expressive style with a distinctly regional identity.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it presents a bright, luminous appearance that hints at its freshness and tension. The nose is elegant and aromatic, with white flowers leading the way, followed by citrus notes and a pronounced touch of pink grapefruit. On the palate, the wine is rich, complex, and highly flavorful, with a solid structure that gives it both depth and balance. Its mountain-grown freshness is supported by a textured mouthfeel and a long, refined finish, suggesting good aging potential for those who enjoy white wines with substance and nuance.

Production
Made from 100% Petite Arvine grown organically in the Aosta Valley, the vines are cultivated without insecticides or acaricides, reflecting Grosjean’s commitment to sustainable viticulture. The wine is aged for 6 months in stainless steel on the lees, followed by 6 months in French oak barrels, a combination that preserves freshness while adding texture and complexity.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with seafood, shellfish, grilled white fish, risotto, and creamy vegetable dishes, as well as alpine specialties and mildly aged cheeses. Serve it chilled at around 10–12°C; decanting is not usually necessary, but a short aeration can help open up its aromatic profile if served young.

Producer
Grosjean is a respected family-run winery in the Aosta Valley, crafting wines since 1969 with a strong focus on tradition, environmental care, and the distinctive character of the region. The estate is well regarded for its organic approach and for producing wines that faithfully express the alpine terroir, earning a strong reputation among lovers of fine mountain wines.
