Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass, it typically shows a bright, crystalline appearance that hints at its tension and purity. The nose leans toward citrus blossom, lemon zest, green apple, white peach, and a distinct volcanic minerality, with subtle herbal and saline nuances. On the palate, it is crisp and focused, combining lively acidity with a textured, layered mouthfeel. The fruit remains precise rather than tropical, while the mineral core gives the wine both energy and length. This is a white with the structure to develop nicely over a few years, gaining added complexity and depth with time in bottle.

Production
Sourced from Etna’s volcanic slopes, San Lorenzo reflects the region’s high-altitude vineyards, ancient lava soils, and significant diurnal temperature shifts, all of which help preserve freshness and aromatic detail. The grapes are harvested by hand, allowing careful selection of fruit at optimal ripeness. Vinification is typically carried out with a gentle approach to preserve the wine’s natural tension, purity, and mineral expression.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled fish, shellfish, seafood risotto, roast chicken, and vegetable dishes with Mediterranean herbs. It also works beautifully with pasta alla norma or lightly aged cheeses. Serve chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short rest in the glass can help the wine खुल out.
