Girlan Flora Pinot Bianco Riserva 2023 is a refined, dry white wine from Alto Adige, crafted to showcase Pinot Blanc with both freshness and depth. Tasting Notes
The wine presents a bright straw-yellow colour. Its expressive bouquet opens with ripe pineapple and apricot, followed by aromatic herbs, white pepper, delicate buttery nuances and hints of sweet spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied, juicy and elegantly textured, with lively acidity balancing its richness. A subtle saline quality and persistent mineral finish bring freshness and definition. Thanks to its structure, balanced acidity and extended maturation on the fine lees, Flora Pinot Bianco Riserva has excellent ageing potential. It can be enjoyed now for its generous fruit and creamy texture, while further bottle ageing should allow its mineral and savoury complexity to develop further.

Production
The grapes are hand-harvested from selected parcels around Cornaiano, Monte di Appiano, Mazzon and Gschleier. The vineyards combine morainic soils, which contribute body and ripe fruit, with higher-altitude sites characterised by silt and clay over a calcareous foundation, providing freshness and structure. Whole bunches are gently pressed before the must is clarified through natural settling. Fermentation takes place in large French oak casks, with partial malolactic fermentation, followed by twelve months of maturation on the fine lees in the same vessels. The wine then spends six months in stainless-steel tanks before bottle ageing, allowing its creamy texture, freshness and oak influence to integrate harmoniously.

Food & Serving
Serve Flora Pinot Bianco Riserva at 12–14°C. Its combination of freshness, mineral character and rounded texture makes it an excellent match for salmon tartare, seafood, shellfish and delicate risottos. It also pairs beautifully with poultry, other light meats and a selection of medium-intensity cheeses. Decanting is not essential, but opening the bottle shortly before serving or giving it a brief period of aeration can help reveal its layered aromas.
