Description

With the 2023 vintage, Weingut Lingenfelder bottled Riesling from the Stube parcel as a single-vineyard wine for the first time. From vines over 50 years old rooted in Tertiary limestone, it offers a distinctive expression of this quietly treasured site in the Pfalz.

Production
The grapes come from deep-rooted, mature vines in Stube, a parcel near better-known sites including Kirschgarten and Im Großen Garten. After harvest, they are gently worked by hand and foot and left on their skins for around two days before pressing. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with the winery’s own yeasts, and the wine is matured in used barriques made from local oak.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled, around 8–10°C. Riesling is a versatile match for seafood, freshwater fish, poultry and dishes with a touch of spice; the wine’s precise style and sweetness level are not specified, so tailor pairings to taste. A short time in the glass can help it open; decanting is not essential.
