Tasting Notes

Production
The Sangiovese comes from Tenuta Perano’s vineyards in Gaiole in Chianti, set around 500 metres above sea level on steep, stony slopes with south and southwest exposure. The altitude encourages a long, gradual ripening, while the site’s sun and soils contribute to the wine’s concentrated aromas and firm structure. It is aged for 24 months in a combination of oak barrels and stainless-steel tanks; harvesting methods are not specified.

Food & Serving
Serve at 16–18°C, ideally after about an hour in a decanter. Its freshness and structured tannins suit rich meat ragù, game and dishes served with mature cheeses. With suitable cellaring, it can develop for up to ten years.
