Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine shows a clear ruby-red color. The nose is open and inviting, offering red and dark berry aromas with a subtle touch of spice and the lively freshness that defines Barbera. On the palate it is juicy, bright, and highly approachable, with crisp acidity giving the wine lift and balance. A small portion aged in large French oak casks adds a touch of structure and depth, while stainless steel preserves the clean, fruit-driven style. It is best enjoyed young, while its freshness and primary fruit are at their most expressive.

Production
Made from 100% Barbera grown in Isola d’Asti, the vines were planted in the early 2000s, on sites well suited to producing fresh, expressive fruit. The grapes are hand-harvested in the first week of October to ensure optimal ripeness, and the wine is vinified with a focus on preserving purity, vibrancy, and the natural acidity that makes Barbera so versatile at the table. A portion is matured in large French oak barrels, with the rest kept in steel to maintain its bright, fruit-forward profile.

This is a wonderfully food-friendly wine, ideal with antipasti, charcuterie, cheeses, and classic pasta dishes with meat or tomato-based sauces. It also works well with lightly spiced dishes. Serve slightly chilled to bring out its freshness and juiciness; decanting is not necessary, though opening it a short while before serving can help the aromas unfold.
