Production
The Ockfener Bockstein is one of the Saar’s distinguished Riesling sites, traditionally associated with steep slopes and mineral-rich slate soils. As an Eiswein-Auslese, the wine was made from highly concentrated Riesling grapes harvested at freezing temperatures, allowing naturally frozen water to be separated from the juice and intensifying the fruit, sugar and acidity. The Goldkapsel designation further identifies this as a particularly special bottling.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Its sweetness and acidity make it an excellent aperitif as well as a refined partner for fruit-based desserts, crème brûlée, pâtisserie and blue or washed-rind cheeses. Decanting is generally not necessary for this mature wine, although carefully standing the bottle upright and gently decanting may be useful if sediment is present. Pour slowly to preserve its delicate aromas.
