Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in colour, the wine opens with aromas of dark berries, black pepper, violets and savoury notes of olive and earth. The palate is concentrated yet finely balanced, with firm, polished tannins, lively freshness and a long, persistent finish.

Production
Made from Syrah in the steep, granite-rich vineyards of Cornas, Reynard reflects the rugged terrain and sun-filled conditions of the northern Rhône. Allemand is known for hands-on, traditional winemaking and restrained use of oak, allowing the vineyard and vintage to remain at the forefront. With its structure and concentration, the 2019 should develop gracefully over many years; decanting can help reveal its character when young.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 16–18°C. It pairs beautifully with roast lamb, grilled or braised beef, game and dishes featuring herbs, mushrooms or black olives. Decant for about an hour when young, adjusting to taste; older bottles are best opened gently and given time to settle.
