Domaine Eric Bordelet Poiré Granit 2023

Domaine Eric Bordelet Poiré Granit 2023 is an elegant sparkling pear wine made from around 14 varieties grown on biodynamically farmed trees that are 200–300 years old. Its granite-soil origins and naturally dry, sugar-free style set it apart from sweeter pear sparkling wines.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a fine, delicate bead, with a remarkably clean, clear bouquet and palate that let the pear fruit shine. Despite its expressive aroma, it is notably dry, balanced by harmonious acidity that brings freshness and lift. No specific aging guidance is available; enjoy it while its freshness and lively sparkle are at their most vivid.

Production
The pears are selectively hand-harvested from September to December, briefly stored to dry, then crushed, briefly macerated and gently pressed. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in large wooden vats and concrete tanks. The fruit comes from biodynamically cultivated, centuries-old trees rooted in granite-rich soil.

Food & Serving
A versatile partner for food, it should work especially well with seafood, delicate white fish, salads and mild cheeses. Serve well chilled, around 6–8°C; decanting is unnecessary, as it is best enjoyed fresh from the bottle.
