Description

Domaine de la Roche Aiguë’s “La Dalignère” is a single-parcel Pinot Noir from Meloisey in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, offering greater depth and concentration than the domaine’s regional bottling. Its south-east-facing site and limestone- and marl-rich soils bring together ripe fruit, freshness and structure in a distinctive expression of Burgundy.

Tasting Notes
It shows a deep garnet-red colour, with an intense nose of cherry, blackberry, redcurrant and dark woodland berries, layered with pepper, spice, forest-floor notes and a discreet touch of oak. The palate is rounded and generously textured, with concentrated fruit, lively acidity and noticeable, well-integrated tannins. More full-bodied and complex than the domaine’s classic Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, it can be enjoyed now with a little air and is expected to develop through around 2034.

Production
Made from 100% Pinot Noir grown in the La Dalignère parcel in Meloisey. The south-east-facing vineyard sits on limestone- and marl-rich soils, which contribute freshness and structure alongside the fruit’s ripeness. The wine is matured entirely in oak barrels; harvesting and vinification details were not provided.

Food & Serving
Serve at 15–16°C and open 30–60 minutes before serving to let the wine breathe. Its fruit and structure pair well with duck, lamb, beef, braised dishes and game, as well as charcuterie, mushrooms and mature cheeses.
