Domaine de Bellene’s 2022 Beaune Premier Cru “Hommage à Françoise Potel” is a distinctive Pinot Noir cuvée created by Nicolas Potel in tribute to his mother. Made from old vines across five Beaune Premier Cru vineyards, it brings together generous fruit, Burgundian finesse and the character of several celebrated sites in one bottle.

Tasting Notes
Ruby in colour, the wine opens with inviting aromas of red cherry, raspberry, strawberry and redcurrant, layered with delicate spice and hints of forest floor. On the palate, juicy Pinot Noir fruit meets fine tannins and satisfying depth, while fresh acidity keeps the finish poised and elegant. It is enjoyable now with some air and has the structure to develop further in the cellar.

Production
The cuvée draws on old-vine Pinot Noir from five Beaune Premier Cru sites: Pertuisots, Montée Rouge, Les Bressandes, Clos du Roi and Reversées. Part of the wine is fermented with whole clusters, then matured in oak barrels, around 30% of them new. These details are known; specific information about the vineyard soils and harvest methods is not available.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 15–16°C with roast chicken, duck, pork tenderloin or mushroom dishes. A brief decant of 30–45 minutes can help the wine open up, particularly if serving it young.
