Domaine Bouzereau Meursault Les Narvaux 2024

Domaine Vincent Bouzereau’s Meursault Les Narvaux 2024 is a still Chardonnay from one of Meursault’s best-known lieux-dits, made from three separately vinified parcels. Native-yeast fermentation and extended lees ageing give this white Burgundy its individual character, while the domaine has been making the wine since 1990.

Tasting Notes
The wine is described as having a powerful yet balanced aromatic profile, with notes of white flowers, fresh butter and dried fruit. On the palate, expect a generous texture and clear structure, finishing with persistent citrus freshness. Its structure and time on the lees should allow it to develop further in bottle. Enjoy it young for its floral and citrus character, or cellar it for a few years to let the aromas evolve.

Production
The three parcels in Les Narvaux are rooted in stony clay and limestone soils and are planted with vines around 50 years old. The parcels are vinified separately to express their individual qualities. After pressing, the must settles in temperature-controlled tanks for 24 hours before spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in barrels at the cellar’s natural temperature. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine ages on its lees for 15–18 months; filtration is adjusted to the needs of the vintage. Harvesting methods are not specified.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 10–12°C with roast chicken, seared scallops, grilled turbot or creamy mushroom dishes. A short time in the glass will help the aromas open; decanting is not essential, though a brief, gentle decant can be useful if the wine seems closed.
