Description

Domaine Berthelemot’s 2023 Pommard offers a fruit-forward, supple take on this celebrated Côte de Beaune appellation. Hand-harvested Pinot Noir, gentle extraction and oak ageing keep the focus on the fruit; the wine also received silver at the 2025 RVF Readers’ Awards.

Tasting Notes
Expect a bright ruby appearance, with red-fruit aromas at the forefront. On the palate, red-fruit flavours meet a generous, smooth structure and a notably silky texture, with oak allowing the fruit to remain in focus. The producer recommends giving the wine plenty of air while it is young. Its longer-term ageing potential is not specified.

Production
The Pinot Noir is hand-harvested and receives gentle extraction to highlight its red-fruit character. It matures in oak, with the élevage designed to support rather than overshadow the fruit. Specific vineyard and terroir details are not provided.

Food & Serving
Serve at 15–16°C and allow the wine time to breathe when young. It should pair well with roast poultry, duck, or pork, as well as mushroom dishes and mild, washed-rind cheeses.
