Description

David Moret’s 2023 Chardonnay is bottled as Vin de France, allowing the producer to work outside Burgundy’s appellation rules and bring Chardonnay from different origins together in one cuvée. The result is a fruit-forward, gently wood-influenced wine made with a notably hands-off approach.

Tasting Notes
The nose is inviting, with ripe apple and warm yellow-fruit aromas, accompanied by a subtle trace of oak. Appearance and specific aging potential are not described.

Production
The Chardonnay grapes come from different origins and are brought together in a single cuvée. The wine is spontaneously fermented, aged in wood and bottled without fining or filtration. Details about the individual vineyard sites, terroir and harvesting methods are not available.

Food & Serving
Its rounded texture and lively acidity should suit roast chicken, grilled fish or creamy vegetable dishes. Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C; decanting is not essential, though a little time in the glass can help open up its aromas.
