Costa Delle Parracine Biancolella 2024 is a distinctive Campanian white that highlights one of southern Italy’s most characterful indigenous grapes. Grown almost exclusively along the coasts and islands of Campania, Biancolella brings a sense of place, history, and maritime freshness to the glass.

Tasting Notes
Expect a pale, bright straw-yellow color with lively reflections. On the nose, it typically offers delicate floral notes, citrus peel, green apple, and a subtle saline lift that reflects its coastal origins. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with fine acidity, a light to medium body, and a clean, mineral finish. Biancolella is usually best enjoyed young for its freshness and aromatic precision, though the best examples can hold their charm for a short period after release.

Production
Biancolella is a historic white grape of Corsican origin, where it is known as Petite Blanche, but it has long been rooted in Campania after being introduced in antiquity by the Greeks. Today it is cultivated on a very limited scale, with only around 150 hectares in Italy, almost all in Campania. The vineyards benefit from the region’s coastal influence, where sea breezes and warm Mediterranean conditions help preserve freshness and aromatic lift in the grapes.

Food & Serving
This wine is an excellent match for seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, light pasta dishes, fresh salads, and soft cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C to showcase its freshness and mineral character. Decanting is not necessary.
