Conti Zecca Luna 2024

Conti Zecca Luna 2024 is a rich, characterful white wine from Salento in Puglia, blending equal parts Chardonnay and Malvasia. Fermented and matured in barriques, it combines generous tropical fruit with subtle vanilla and a rounded, lingering finish. The wine reflects the long-standing Zecca family tradition of cultivating vines in the region since 1500.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a clear, luminous golden-yellow colour. On the nose, it is intense and expressive, with aromas of exotic fruit complemented by elegant vanilla notes from its time in oak. The palate is full-bodied and flavourful, balancing generous fruit with a smooth, rounded texture and a persistent finish. Its structure and oak maturation allow it to develop further over the next few years, while remaining approachable in its youth.

Production
Produced in Salento, Puglia, Luna is made from a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Malvasia. The grapes are vinified with fermentation in barriques, followed by maturation and regular batonnage in oak, which contributes texture, depth and richness. The wine is then given additional time in bottle before release. Specific harvesting methods are not provided.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at around 10–12°C. Its full body and creamy oak character make it a natural partner for grilled or roasted fish, shellfish, poultry in creamy sauces, and pasta with rich seafood or vegetable preparations. It can also complement semi-mature cheeses. Decanting is not essential, though opening the bottle 15–20 minutes before serving can help reveal its aromas.
