Description
Collet Champagne Rosé Brut brings together a carefully selected blend from 20 crus across Champagne’s Premier and Grand Cru villages, giving it both finesse and depth. With its mix of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, plus a portion of reserve wines, it offers a refined rosé style that balances freshness, structure, and charm. Rooted in the classic Champagne tradition, it reflects the region’s long-standing expertise in crafting elegant multi-village cuvées.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Champagne shows a delicate rosé hue with a lively, fine mousse. The nose is bright and expressive, with red berry fruit, citrus, subtle floral tones, and a distinct mineral edge, while hints of flint add extra complexity.
On the palate, Pinot Noir lends softness and ripe fruit, Chardonnay brings freshness and lemon-driven tension, and Meunier adds roundness and smoothness. The result is a beautifully balanced rosé with crisp acidity, minerality, and a long, elegant finish. It will drink very well now, but also has the structure to evolve gracefully over the next few years.
Production
This cuvée is built from fruit sourced across 20 crus in Champagne, including Premier and Grand Cru villages. The blend is led by 50% Pinot Noir from villages such as Aÿ, Hautvillers, Avenay-Val-d’Or, and Louvois, 40% Chardonnay mainly from Vertus and other prestigious sites like Chouilly, Avize, Oger, and Vaudemange, and 10% Meunier for added suppleness. About 20% reserve wines are included to bring consistency and extra depth. The limestone soils, especially in Villers-Marmery, contribute the wine’s mineral character and flinty aromas.
Food & Serving
Collet Champagne Rosé Brut is a versatile food wine, ideal with sushi, salmon, tuna tartare, roast poultry, duck breast, or lightly spiced dishes. It also works beautifully with berry-based desserts and soft cheeses. Serve chilled at 8–10°C, and decanting is not recommended for Champagne.
Producer
Collet is a historic Champagne house known for its strong ties to the region’s crus and its focus on blended expressions that showcase Champagne’s diverse terroirs. The producer has built a reputation for elegant, precise wines that highlight both freshness and complexity. Its cuvées are widely appreciated for their craftsmanship and for expressing the character of some of Champagne’s most respected villages.
