Tasting Notes
The wine displays a deep garnet-red colour. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, poised and finely structured, with refreshing acidity and polished tannins. The finish is long, earthy and savoury, with a satisfying, fleshy character. With proper cellaring, Château Lafite Rothschild 2014 should develop beautifully over several decades, gaining further complexity and softness with time.

Production
Château Lafite Rothschild is situated in Pauillac, where gravelly, well-drained soils over limestone provide ideal conditions for producing Cabernet Sauvignon-led wines of exceptional finesse and structure. Grapes are carefully selected from the estate’s vineyard parcels and vinified separately before the final blend is assembled. The wine is traditionally matured in French oak, allowing its fruit, tannins and aromatic complexity to integrate gradually.

Food & Serving
Serve at 16–18°C after allowing the bottle to come gently to cellar temperature. Decant for approximately one to two hours when drinking the wine young, both to open its aromatics and to separate any sediment; older bottles should be decanted more cautiously. Its structure and savoury depth make it an excellent partner for roast lamb, prime beef, venison, duck, truffled dishes and mature hard cheeses.
