Description

From the Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire, this organic 2025 rosé is made from Grenache Noir and Cinsault grown near Aix-en-Provence. Its hillside setting, limestone-and-clay soils and certified organic farming set it apart within the appellation.

Production
The estate’s Sainte-Victoire vines grow on limestone and clay in a natural amphitheatre sheltered by surrounding hills and mountains, which temper the Mistral and create favourable conditions for ripening. The vineyards have been certified organic since 2013. After destemming, the grapes undergo a brief maceration of up to eight hours before gentle pressing, producing the pale salmon-pink hue typical of the region. The available production details also mention temperature-controlled fermentation, but do not specify the vessel or further winemaking steps.

Château Henri Bonnaud is located in Le Tholonet, a few kilometres east of Aix-en-Provence. Its agricultural estate includes vineyards across several local appellations, including ten hectares in Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire. The estate has farmed all its vineyards organically since 2013.
