Description

Château Clinet 2016 is a highly rated Pomerol from an acclaimed vintage, blending 90% Merlot with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. With 99 points from Jeb Dunnuck and 97 from Robert Parker, it pairs the appellation’s signature depth with a polished, elegant style.

Tasting Notes
Deep and concentrated, it opens with aromas of dark cherry, plum and blackcurrant, layered with violet, graphite, truffle, spice and subtle toasted notes. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured, balanced by freshness and ripe, refined tannins, with a long, complex finish. The wine is entering an appealing drinking window, but its concentration and structure also give it the potential to develop for many years in the cellar.

Production
Made from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine was matured for 16 months, including 70% in new oak barrels. Details about the vineyard’s specific soils, harvesting methods and vinification are not provided.
