Castello del Terriccio Tassinaia 2022 is a polished Tuscan red built from almost equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Its name, meaning “place of stones,” refers to the stony subsoil found on the estate and to the stone traditionally used in the construction of the buildings around the Tassinaia area. The wine combines the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the generous, velvety character of Merlot.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in colour, the 2022 Tassinaia offers an inviting bouquet of ripe blackberries, black cherries and plums, complemented by hints of spice, herbs and subtle earthy tones. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-balanced, with supple fruit, polished tannins and refreshing acidity supporting a long, savoury finish. Enjoyable in its youth for its expressive fruit and smooth texture, the wine should gain further complexity with bottle age as the fruit, spice and earthy nuances become more integrated.
