Description

Cascina Luisin’s 2015 Barbaresco Riserva is a traditional, terroir-led Nebbiolo from Rabajà-Bas, offering the depth and structure expected of this renowned Barbaresco site. Its Riserva classification means it is released later than a standard Barbaresco, giving the wine time to develop before it reaches the glass.

Tasting Notes
Deep and concentrated in style, it opens with dark berries, rose petals, menthol and liquorice. The palate is juicy yet elegant, with fine-grained tannins, a composed structure and a long finish. The 2015 is at an appealing stage, as its fruit and tannins begin to harmonise with developing notes from bottle age. It can be enjoyed now with a little air, while further cellaring should allow it to evolve.

Production
Made from 100% Nebbiolo grown in Rabajà-Bas in Barbaresco, the wine reflects a traditional, site-focused approach. Its Riserva designation entails a later release than standard Barbaresco; further details about harvesting and vinification are not available.

Food & Serving
Pair it with braised beef, slow-cooked lamb, truffle dishes or aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C. Decant for about an hour before serving to let the wine open, especially if enjoying it soon after opening.
