Description

Cascina Intersenga x Wolf Piemonte Rosato 2024 is a fresh, fruit-led rosé made by Dennis Wolf from Barbera and Nebbiolo. Early harvesting preserves its lively acidity and keeps the colour and aromatics restrained, while a touch of natural residual sugar lends balance. It’s an easygoing expression of these classic Piedmontese grapes, well suited to warm-weather drinking.

Tasting Notes
The early-picked grapes and direct pressing suggest a delicate rosé colour rather than a deeply tinted style. The available tasting information points to vibrant acidity and fresh fruit, with around 5 g/l of residual sugar gently softening the palate without making the wine taste overtly sweet. Production
The Barbera and Nebbiolo grapes were harvested early to preserve freshness and avoid excessive colour or aromatic intensity. After direct pressing, one third of the must fermented in small wooden barrels of just over 200 litres, while the remaining two thirds fermented in stainless steel. Fermentation of one portion was stopped early, leaving approximately 5 g/l of residual sugar in the finished wine—a subtle, naturally retained sweetness that balances the bright acidity and supports the fruit.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C. Its fresh acidity and gently rounded fruit should suit antipasti, charcuterie, grilled vegetables, light pasta dishes and summer salads. Decanting is not necessary; open and serve straight from the bottle.
