Caldaro Chardonnay 2025

Caldaro Chardonnay 2025 is a fresh, elegantly textured white wine from Kaltern Caldaro in Trentino-Alto Adige. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grown on steep, sunlit vineyards, it combines ripe orchard-fruit character with the distinctive mineral freshness of the Alpine landscape. Its story is rooted in a winery that has been crafting quality wines since 1900.

Tasting Notes
The wine has a bright straw-yellow colour. On the nose, it offers inviting aromas of Williams pear and delicate white flowers, complemented by a clean, mineral character. The palate is lively yet full-bodied, with rounded fruit, refreshing acidity and a precise finish. This Chardonnay is designed to be enjoyed for its youthful freshness and expressive fruit. It is best consumed within the next few years, while its aromatic clarity and vibrant structure are at their most appealing.

Production
The grapes come from steep, sunny vineyards situated between 350 and 450 metres above sea level, where the elevation and mineral-rich Alpine environment contribute freshness and definition. Fully ripe, healthy whole bunches are gently pressed before fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18–20°C. The wine then rests on its fine lees for three months in stainless-steel tanks, preserving its bright fruit and clean, mineral profile.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Its lively character and generous texture make it an excellent match for delicate dishes such as grilled fish, seafood, light pasta, risotto, poultry and fresh vegetable preparations. Decanting is not necessary; simply open shortly before serving or pour into a suitable white-wine glass to allow the aromas to develop.
