Why shop with us?
Brancaia N2 Rosso 2023 is a pure Cabernet Sauvignon from the sun-drenched coastal vineyards of Maremma Toscana, offering impressive depth with a supple, modern feel. Aged for 12 months in French oak, it balances ripe power with elegance and freshness, making it both characterful and highly approachable. It also reflects the growing reputation of Maremma as one of Tuscany’s most exciting terroirs for international varieties.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, inviting color with the richness you’d expect from Cabernet Sauvignon grown in a warm coastal climate. The nose is defined by ripe black fruit, with pleasant notes of dark berries and a subtle hint of oak spice from its élevage in French barriques.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and smooth, with velvety tannins and a harmonious balance between ripe fruit, freshness, and structure. It finishes with a polished, elegant impression and has the concentration to age gracefully over the next few years, developing added complexity while remaining easy to enjoy now.
Production
This wine comes from Brancaia’s vineyards in Maremma Toscana, a warm and sunny coastal area where Cabernet Sauvignon benefits from generous ripening conditions and the moderating influence of the sea. The grapes are harvested with care to preserve fruit purity and freshness, and the wine is then vinified with a focus on expressing the variety’s natural depth and finesse. It is matured for 12 months in French oak barrels, which adds subtle structure and complexity without overwhelming the fruit.
Food & Serving
Brancaia N2 Rosso 2023 pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, roasted lamb, game, and hearty pasta dishes with rich tomato or meat-based sauces. It also works well with aged cheeses and Mediterranean-style dishes with herbs and olive oil. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for about 30 minutes if you want to soften the tannins and bring out more of the wine’s aromatic detail.
Producer
Brancaia is one of Tuscany’s most respected modern wine producers, known for combining precision, elegance, and a strong sense of place in both Chianti Classico and Maremma. The estate has earned a solid international reputation for producing wines that are contemporary in style while remaining deeply rooted in Tuscan tradition. Brancaia is particularly admired for its consistent quality and its ability to bring out the best in Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese across its vineyards.
