Description
Braastad V.S.O.P is a refined French Cognac that combines the elegance of Cognac with the approachable character expected from a classic Very Superior Old Pale expression. Made from traditional Cognac grapes and matured to develop balance and depth, it is an inviting choice for both relaxed sipping and classic cocktails.
Aroma & Palate
The nose is gently aromatic, with notes of ripe orchard fruit, dried fruit, vanilla and subtle floral nuances. On the palate, it is smooth and rounded, bringing together soft fruit, light spice and delicate oak, with a warming finish and a pleasant touch of sweetness.
Distillation & Maturation
Braastad V.S.O.P is produced in the Cognac region from the traditional varieties Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard. As a VSOP Cognac, it is matured in oak for at least four years, allowing the spirit to gain greater smoothness, colour and complexity before blending.
Serving Suggestions
Enjoy it neat or over a large ice cube to appreciate its rounded character. It also works well with a small splash of water or in classic Cognac serves such as a Sidecar, Brandy Crusta or a simple long drink with ginger ale. Serve neat at cool room temperature.
Distillery
Braastad is a Cognac brand with Norwegian roots, founded by Sverre Braastad in 1919 and associated with the Tiffon Cognac house. The brand combines traditional Cognac production with a long-standing Scandinavian heritage, offering expressions designed to showcase the approachable and elegant side of the region’s eaux-de-vie.
