Made exclusively from Pinot Noir, Borgo Maragliano’s 2022 Alta Langa Brut Rosé combines the grape’s elegance with the depth and finesse of traditional-method sparkling wine. A long 36 months on the lees adds complexity, while its balance and fruit have earned it 91 points from James Suckling.

Tasting Notes
Delicate pink in the glass, it opens with aromas of wild strawberry, redcurrant and pomegranate, complemented by a subtle note of white bread. The palate is soft and fruit-forward, with lively freshness lending poise and making each sip feel bright and balanced.

Production
The grapes come from Crevoglio, in Loazzolo, within the Alta Langa area of Piedmont. Vines grow in tuff and sandstone soils enriched with limestone, and the estate practises environmentally conscious viticulture. A short cold maceration draws out the rosé colour before gentle pressing; the first fermentation and around eight months of maturation take place in stainless steel. The wine then undergoes its second fermentation in bottle by the traditional method and spends 36 months on the lees before disgorgement.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 6–8°C, with elegant appetisers, fish dishes or refined cheeses. Its fresh red-fruit character also suits delicate seafood preparations. Decanting is not needed; open shortly before serving.
