A. Christmann’s Ruppertsberger Reiterpfad Riesling brings together fruit from several parcels in this renowned Pfalz vineyard, including the Hofstück, once bottled separately as a Grosses Gewächs. The estate chose to combine these parcels in one wine, giving this organic Erstes Gewächs a distinctive expression of the site’s sunlit, sandstone-influenced slopes.

Production
Reiterpfad’s east- to south-east-facing terraces are shaped by weathered red sandstone and receive long hours of sunshine, encouraging even ripening and concentrated fruit. The estate’s vineyard notes describe selective hand-harvesting into small crates, followed by spontaneous fermentation and élevage in stainless steel and large wooden casks.
