Description

A. Christmann Riesling Aus den Lagen 2023 brings together fruit from some of the estate’s finest Pfalz parcels, including sites classified as VDP.ERSTE LAGE and VDP.GROSSE LAGE. Introduced with the 2021 vintage, it replaced the estate’s former Guts- and Ortsweine as a new entry point to Christmann’s site-focused wines.

Production
The grapes come from parcels around Gimmeldingen, Ruppertsberg, Neustadt and Königsbach, including the noted sites Meerspinne, Vogelsang and Idig. They are hand-harvested and given a short period of skin contact on the press before spontaneous fermentation. Most of the wine is matured in traditional Doppelstück casks, largely without temperature control, and early bottling helps preserve its freshness and expression.

Food & Serving
