Description

Tourán 2020 is Bodegas Morca’s single-vineyard flagship, made entirely from Garnacha grown on old, low-yielding vines in Campo de Borja. It captures the region’s Garnacha tradition in a powerful, deeply concentrated style, with 22 months in French oak adding further depth and spice.

Tasting Notes
Deep and intense in character, the wine opens with ripe blackberry, blueberry, black plum and dark cherry, followed by notes of liquorice, vanilla, cinnamon, black pepper and toasted oak. With air, hints of graphite and darker spice emerge.

Production
The Garnacha comes from the estate’s oldest, low-yielding parcels, where dry conditions help produce small, concentrated berries. The grapes are harvested by hand, and each small parcel is vinified separately in small tanks at a controlled 22–26°C. The wine then matures for 22 months in French barriques, including new oak.

Food & Serving
Serve with substantial dishes such as côte de boeuf, ribeye, lamb rack, braised beef or game; grilled and slow-roasted meats are especially well suited. Rosemary, black pepper and smoky char complement its dark fruit and oak spice. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant generously before serving, particularly if opening it now.
