Lunae Bosoni’s Terreferme is a refined expression of Pigato, Liguria’s distinctive white grape variety. Produced in the Colli di Luni area near the border with Tuscany, it combines fresh yellow-fruit character with a pronounced saline minerality—a hallmark of the region’s coastal influence and ancient winemaking heritage.

Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow in colour, with lively greenish reflections. The nose is full and harmonious, combining the delicate fragrance of fruit-tree blossom and subtle woodland notes with ripe, yellow-fleshed fruit. On the palate, the wine is fresh and focused, led by flavours of yellow apple that develop into elegant almond nuances. Its distinctive saline mineral character gives the wine energy and length, while the finish is balanced, persistent and clean. It is particularly appealing in its youth, when its freshness and aromatic clarity are at their most pronounced.

Production
The grapes come from vineyards in the Colli di Luni, between Castelnuovo Magra and Ortonovo, where clay soils over a stony subsoil contribute to the wine’s characteristic mineral and savoury profile. Located between Liguria and Tuscany, the area benefits from a coastal climate that helps preserve freshness and develop Pigato’s expressive aromatics. The grapes are fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless-steel tanks, followed by a short period of maturation in steel. No oak is used, allowing the fruit, floral notes and saline character of the terroir to remain clear and precise.

Food & Serving
A natural partner for Ligurian cuisine, this Pigato works beautifully with grilled or baked fish, shellfish, seafood pasta, light vegetable dishes and fresh cheeses. Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary, although a few minutes in the glass will allow its floral, fruity and almond-like nuances to open.
