Krug Grande Cuvée 166ème Édition is a richly layered non-vintage Champagne, composed from 140 wines across 13 harvests. Led by the 2010 vintage, it brings together Krug’s signature complexity with a fresh, chalky edge and the depth to reward thoughtful cellaring.

Tasting Notes
Brilliant golden yellow in the glass, it opens with fresh, elegant aromas of ripe apple, citrus and brioche, alongside floral notes and hints of dark cherry and chocolate. On the palate, it is broad and rounded yet lively, with a dense, vinous texture balanced by freshness and chalky minerality. The finish is persistent, structured and complex.

Production
The 166ème Édition blends 140 wines from 13 harvests spanning 1998 to 2010, with 2010 as the dominant year. The blend is 45% Pinot Noir, 39% Chardonnay and 16% Pinot Meunier; the Meunier contributes extra lift, complementing the richness and structure of the other varieties. Vineyard and harvesting details are not specified.

Food & Serving
Its combination of richness and freshness suits roast poultry, lobster or other shellfish, and mature hard cheeses. Serve well chilled but not icy, around 10–12°C, to let the aromas unfold.
