Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep amber to polished mahogany colour, hinting at its long maturation. The nose is layered and elegant, with dried fruits, antique oak, dark chocolate, orange peel, baking spice, heather honey, and a subtle trace of smoke. On the palate, it is exceptionally refined and complex, unfolding with rich sherried sweetness, fig, walnut, tobacco, leather, and warming spice, all carried by a delicate maritime peat. The finish is long, silky, and resonant, with lingering oak, soft smoke, and dried fruit sweetness. This is a whisky built for contemplative sipping and has superb aging depth already; further cellaring is not necessary.

Decanting is not required, but allowing the whisky to rest in the glass for a few minutes will help it open up.
