Elena Walch Alto Adige Riesling Vigna Castel Ringberg 2024

Elena Walch’s 2024 Riesling Vigna Castel Ringberg is a dry, single-vineyard white wine that pairs Riesling’s expressive fruit with the freshness and mineral character of Alto Adige. Its grapes come from the historic slopes around Castel Ringberg, a Renaissance castle built by the Habsburgs in 1620 above Lake Caldaro.

Tasting Notes
The nose combines peach and white flowers with lime, grapefruit and a subtle hint of white pepper. On the palate, lively freshness and a firm mineral structure carry the wine to a harmonious finish. Appearance and aging potential are not specified.

Production
The vineyard lies above Lake Caldaro at 330–400 metres, on soils of dolomitic rock, alluvial gravel and limestone. The grapes are gently pressed and the must is clarified by settling before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The wine then rests on its lees in stainless steel, with no oak, to preserve its purity of fruit and linear, elegant style.
