D'Addario Primitivo Casale Ciliani 2024

D’Addario’s 2024 Primitivo Casale Ciliani is a dry Salento red blend of Primitivo and Malvasia Nera, offering a fruit-rich expression of Puglia. Made to highlight the character of its grapes and local terroir, it brings together two varieties rooted in the region’s winemaking tradition.

Tasting Notes
The wine is ruby red with vivid violet hues. Its expressive nose features blackberry, black cherry and plum, followed by a full-bodied palate with an elegant finish marked by almond and fig.

Production
The grapes come from Salento, between the provinces of Brindisi and Taranto, where calcareous, nutrient-poor soils with a notable clay content help shape the wine’s deep colour and generous body. Vinification is designed to preserve the grapes’ original aromas, with careful maturation in stainless-steel tanks to maintain fruit purity. Specific harvesting methods and aging potential are not provided.

Food & Serving
Enjoy it with ragù-based pasta, grilled meats, game or mature cheeses. Serve at 14–16°C. Decant for around one hour before serving to allow the fruit aromas to open.

D’Addario draws on the family’s passion for Puglia and its local wine traditions. For this Salento IGT, the producer works with experienced oenologists from Sava and Turi, creating a contemporary interpretation of the region through the blend of Primitivo and Malvasia Nera.
