Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, luminous ruby-red color that immediately signals freshness and energy. The nose is generous and expressive, opening with wild blackberry, raspberry jam, cigar box, and floral notes. On the palate, the wine is plush and layered, with sweet cherry, wild strawberry, and cranberry joined by warm gingerbread straight from the oven. It offers the ripe, polished richness that Belle Glos is known for, while still retaining the elegance and lift of cool-climate Pinot Noir. Production
The grapes come from the Clark & Telephone vineyard in Santa Maria Valley, where fog and wind from the Pacific Ocean create a cool growing environment that slows ripening and preserves freshness. The vineyard’s coastal terroir gives the wine its signature balance of ripe fruit and lifted aromatics. After harvest, the wine is matured for nine months in French oak, with 60% of the barrels being new, adding structure, spice, and depth to the final blend.

This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roast duck, herb-roasted chicken, pork tenderloin, mushroom dishes, and salmon. Serve slightly cool, ideally around 14–16°C, and consider a short decant if opening young, especially to let the wine’s aromatic complexity and oak notes fully unfold.
