Description

The 2010 Château Pavie is a richly expressive Bordeaux, combining lavish dark-fruit character with freshness and a notably polished tannic structure. Its generous style is balanced by the concentration and backbone that make this vintage compelling both now and with further cellaring.

Tasting Notes
Deep garnet in colour, it opens with enticing aromas of candied violet, star anise and tapenade, followed by prune, blueberry compote, morello cherry and fruitcake, with hints of forest floor and herbs. The full-bodied palate is opulent and exotic, with velvety tannins and pronounced freshness supporting generous flavours of blackcurrant and blueberry preserve.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 16–18°C. Its concentration and supple tannins suit roast beef, grilled or braised lamb, and mature hard cheeses. Consider decanting for about an hour before serving to let the aromas unfold.
