Description

Andreola’s Valdobbiadene Vigneto Dirupo Extra Dry captures the spirit of “heroic viticulture” in every glass, drawn from grapes grown on the estate’s steepest slopes in the heart of Valdobbiadene. Made almost entirely by hand, it reflects the precision, care, and tradition that have made this corner of Veneto one of Italy’s most celebrated sparkling wine regions.

Tasting Notes
This sparkling wine shows a bright, lively appearance with a fine, persistent mousse. On the nose, it is typically fresh and expressive, with delicate floral notes, orchard fruit, and a subtle hint of citrus. The palate is soft and approachable thanks to its Extra Dry style, balancing ripe fruit with crisp acidity and a clean, elegant finish. Its youthful freshness is part of the charm, so it is best enjoyed while vibrant and aromatic. While it is not meant for long-term cellaring, it should hold well over the short to medium term, maintaining its freshness and finesse.

Production
Dirupo is produced in Valdobbiadene DOCG from carefully selected grapes sourced from Andreola’s steepest hillside vineyards, where farming is especially challenging and entirely dependent on manual work. The steep terrain and demanding conditions contribute to the wine’s character and to the notion of heroic viticulture. Vinification follows a sparkling wine method designed to preserve freshness, finesse, and the purity of the fruit.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile sparkling wine that works beautifully as an aperitif, but it also pairs well with light starters, seafood, sushi, fresh cheeses, and delicate risottos. Serve chilled at around 6–8°C to best appreciate its freshness and aromatic lift. Decanting is not recommended.

Producer
Andreola is a respected producer in the Valdobbiadene area of Veneto, known for crafting Prosecco that emphasizes hillside vineyards, careful selection, and traditional know-how. The estate has built a strong reputation for quality and for highlighting the unique character of the region’s steep, hand-worked vineyards. Their focus on terroir-driven sparkling wines has helped reinforce the prestige of Valdobbiadene DOCG.
