Production
The Buchertberg vineyard is a historic monopole site in Markt Hartmannsdorf, where old and rare grape varieties are planted together in the same parcel, as tradition dictates for a Gemischter Satz. The soils of sandstone, Opok, and gravel contribute both finesse and mineral depth, while biodynamic-style attention to the vineyard and careful site selection help preserve the wine’s sense of place. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with native yeasts, followed by aging in oak barrels made from the producer’s own oak. The wine is bottled unclarified, unfiltered, and with minimal sulfur, allowing the vintage and terroir to remain as transparent as possible.

Food & Serving
This wine works especially well with vegetable dishes, fish, herb-forward cuisine, and goat cheese, where its freshness and saline minerality can really shine. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a thoughtful, food-friendly white. Serve slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short aeration can help open it up if served young.
