Sourced from vineyards around Weissenkirchen, it combines ripe fruit, cool-climate freshness, and a distinctly mineral edge, with the classic Federspiel style lending balance, finesse, and effortless drinkability.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a bright, pale straw color with lively reflections. The nose is clean and expressive, offering green apple, citrus zest, white flowers, and the variety’s hallmark hint of white pepper, all lifted by a subtle stony note. On the palate, it is juicy and focused, with crisp acidity, a sleek structure, and a mineral-driven finish that gives the wine real clarity and length. It already offers plenty of pleasure in its youth, but it also has the structure to develop gracefully over the next few years, gaining added complexity while retaining its freshness.

Production
The grapes come from vineyards around Weissenkirchen in the Wachau, where loess, slate, and gneiss soils shape the wine’s texture and mineral character. Warm days and cool nights allow for slow, even ripening, helping preserve freshness and aromatic precision. The fruit is harvested by hand and vinified gently in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in tank to keep the wine pure, fresh, and true to its terroir.

Food & Serving
This Grüner Veltliner is a versatile food wine, especially good with freshwater fish, sushi, light poultry dishes, asparagus, salads, and classic Austrian cuisine. Serve it well chilled at around 8–10°C for the best expression of its citrusy freshness and mineral drive. Decanting is not necessary; simply open and enjoy young, though a short time in the glass will help its aromas unfold.
