Sine Qua Non’s Eleven Confessions Vineyard Syrah is one of California’s most sought-after cult reds, combining remarkable perfume, depth, and precision in a style that is unmistakably luxurious. Built from a small but intriguing blend led by Syrah and supported by Grenache, Petite Sirah, Viognier, and Muscat, it captures the winery’s signature intensity with an elegant, almost ethereal lift.

Tasting Notes
Deeply colored and immediately expressive, the wine opens with layered aromas of crème de cassis, tar, salami, and a vivid violet character that gives it a haunting floral edge. With time in the glass, it becomes even more aromatic, revealing fine nuances and a sense of detail that keeps unfolding over several days. On the palate, it is full-bodied and incredibly velvety, delivering concentration and power without feeling heavy. Despite its richness, the wine retains impressive freshness and balance, and the long finish is marked by lingering violet perfume, dark fruit, and savory complexity. Production
The 2019 vintage comes from Eleven Confessions Vineyard in California, a site known for producing wines of remarkable character and concentration. The blend includes 13.1% Grenache, 3.3% Petite Sirah, and small additions of Viognier and Muscat, with 13% whole clusters used in fermentation to enhance aromatic complexity and structure. It was aged for around 39 months in 66% new French oak before being bottled in January 2022.

Food & Serving
This is a wine best enjoyed with rich, flavorful dishes such as grilled lamb, slow-roasted beef, venison, or duck with dark fruit sauces. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses and savory charcuterie. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for a few hours is recommended to allow the wine’s aromatic layers and texture to fully open.
