Production
The grapes originate from the steep, sun-exposed Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard on the Mosel, a site known for its slate soils and its ability to produce Rieslings of remarkable finesse and longevity. For this Auslese, only carefully selected, exceptionally ripe grapes were used and harvested by hand. The wine’s balance is shaped by the interaction between concentrated fruit, residual sweetness and naturally vibrant acidity, allowing it to mature gracefully over many years.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 10–12°C. This elegant sweet Riesling is excellent with fruit-based desserts, crème brûlée, pâtisserie and blue or aged cheeses; it can also be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif or contemplative after-dinner wine. Decanting is not essential, although a brief airing in a small carafe can help open the wine if it initially appears reserved. The 0.375-litre format makes it particularly well suited to serving alongside dessert or cheese.
