Domaine Vincent Dauvissat’s 2016 Chablis Premier Cru La Forest pairs the character of a distinguished Chablis vineyard with the domaine’s highly regarded, terroir-focused style. As a Premier Cru from one of Chablis’s recognised vineyard sites, it offers a compelling expression of the region’s distinctive limestone-and-mineral character.

Tasting Notes
The wine opens with vivid aromas of Meyer lemon, iodine and wet stone. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, deep and precise, with excellent concentration and a satin-like, textured feel, leading to a beautifully defined finish. The 2016 was expected to develop relatively early for Dauvissat’s La Forest, making it especially appealing to enjoy as it evolves, while its concentration and structure should support further bottle development.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C. Its citrus and mineral profile would complement oysters, shellfish, grilled fish or roast chicken. Decanting is not essential; if the wine seems reserved, a brief airing in the glass can help it open.
