Tasting Notes
Pale and bright in the glass, this Chardonnay opens with aromas of pineapple, lemon, lime, grapefruit and nectarine, followed by hints of menthol and crushed stone. The palate is notably mineral and fresh, layered with green apple, citrus, melon and a delicate touch of honey. It is already drinking beautifully, thanks to its lively acidity and precise texture, but has the balance and structure to develop further complexity over the next five to six years or more when properly stored.

The wine comes from Charles Heintz Vineyard, one of California’s most respected Chardonnay sites, where the vines were planted in 1980. The vineyard’s cool-climate character is reflected in the wine’s pronounced freshness, citrus profile and stony minerality.
