Ceritas Annabelle Pinot Noir 2023 showcases the elegance and versatility of Pinot Noir from California’s cool Santa Cruz Mountains. With its transparent fruit, lively acidity and refined structure, it is a polished expression of cool-climate California winemaking—fresh, detailed and distinctly terroir-driven.

Tasting Notes
The wine is bright, light ruby-red in colour with translucent edges. Its fragrant nose opens with cherry, raspberry and delicate strawberry aromas, joined by floral nuances and a subtle touch of spice. On the palate, it is elegant and medium-bodied, combining pure red-fruit flavours with fresh acidity and soft yet clearly defined tannins. The finish is long, balanced and harmonious. Annabelle Pinot Noir is approachable in its youth, when its vibrant fruit and lifted character are at their most expressive. It should also develop gracefully over the next few years, gaining further complexity as the fruit, oak and tannins become more integrated.

Production
The grapes are grown in the cool-climate Santa Cruz Mountains, where the conditions help preserve Pinot Noir’s natural freshness and aromatic precision. Fermentation takes place with whole clusters and native yeast, followed by maturation in French oak barrels, only a portion of which are new. This restrained use of oak adds depth and texture while allowing the purity of the fruit and the character of the site to remain at the forefront.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at approximately 14–16°C. Its bright acidity and refined tannins make it a versatile partner for roast chicken, duck, grilled salmon, mushroom dishes and earthy vegetarian preparations. A short decant of 20–30 minutes can help reveal the wine’s floral aromas and layered texture, although it can also be enjoyed directly from the bottle while young.
