Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the classic intensity of high-quality Sangiovese, with a bright ruby core and graceful transparency. The bouquet is persistent and layered, with aromas that unfold gradually and a profile shaped by freshness, minerality, and finely etched fruit. On the palate, it is vinous and focused, with a long, chiselled finish that lingers beautifully. The high-altitude site and marl-rich soils lend tension and clarity, while the careful use of oak supports the wine without overpowering its character. This is a wine with excellent aging potential, likely to gain further complexity and harmony over time.

Production
Santa Caterina is a single vineyard of just over five hectares, exposed fully to the south at an average altitude of 550 meters. The site benefits from privileged growing conditions, especially its marl-rich soils, which contribute to the quality and finesse of the Sangiovese grapes. The wine is vinified in purity and matured for an extended period with restrained oak influence, allowing the terroir and variety to remain at the center of the final style.

Food & Serving
Serve this wine with classic Tuscan dishes such as bistecca alla fiorentina, roasted game, braised lamb, or pappardelle with rich meat ragù. It also pairs beautifully with aged Pecorino and mushroom-based dishes. Best served at 16–18°C, and decanting for about an hour is recommended to help the wine open fully.
