Description

Beaux Frères’ 2022 The Beaux Frères Vineyard Pinot Noir is an expressive Oregon red, combining lively acidity and ripe fruit with the earthy, floral character of its namesake vineyard. Its structured finish and carefully judged use of new oak give this vintage both immediate appeal and the poise to develop in the cellar.

Tasting Notes
The nose opens with dried black cherry, floral undergrowth and crushed, ash-like stones, with a delicate hint of lavender. On the palate, ripe red and blue fruits meet sweet spice and bright acidity, creating a cool-toned, energetic impression.

Production
Made from Pinot Noir grown at the Beaux Frères Vineyard in Oregon, this vintage saw the proportion of new oak raised from 25% to 35%. Winemaker Mikey Metzel cited the quality of the tannins and freshness of the fruit as reasons for the change. Harvesting and other winemaking details are not specified.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 15–16°C with roast duck, grilled salmon, mushroom dishes or herb-roasted poultry. A brief decant of 20–30 minutes can help open its floral and earthy aromas; older bottles are best poured gently.
